All quiet on the Western Front

Not much going on...well, that's not 100% true, but just haven't had time to put fingers tips to keyboard, I guess.

Have been on some spectacular hikes recently. Long, rambling and very enjoyable. It is good to feel connected to nature, and good to find the connection here in the middle of the city, too.

Work - busy.

Home - for me quiet - for the student - hectic.

Saw "Lion, Witch and the wardrobe" - bitterly disappointed that the story I adored as a kid is so layered with Christian blah-blah-blah. Really shows that kids are naive and see only what they want. I adored the fantasy of the story, and the quest, with absolutely no inkling of the messages and images that were part of it all. It actually made me feel quite ripped off. Suspending the adult mind was really difficult, and so I came away with a bad taste in my mouth. Beautiful effects, perfect computer generation, wonderful performances. I got the WWII references more than I think most Americans, but it wasn't enough...

Too bad...mah la'asot?

Hebrew is great. i love my class. It is such a breath of fresh air and fresh thought.

Eagerly awaiting the trip - counting the days...
